AMC has renewed Interview With the Vampire for a fourth season, with the series set to continue under a new banner: Queen of the Damned. The announcement was made Friday during the show’s Comic-Con Hall H presentation tied to season three, The Vampire Lestat.
The renewal signals that AMC is continuing to build the drama beyond its current chapter. Unveiling the news during the season three showcase also underlined the network’s confidence in the franchise as it moves from Interview With the Vampire into its next phase.
A key creative change is also coming with the new season. Hannah Moscovitch, who serves as an executive producer on The Vampire Lestat, will step in as showrunner for season four.
Taken together, the early renewal and the Queen of the Damned rebrand suggest AMC is positioning the series as an expanding vampire saga rather than a single-title adaptation. More details about the fourth season are expected to come as season three rolls out.
