The game was level at 6-6 early on before York finished with 22 points and Huddersfield edged them with 24. York's tries came from Nofoaluma, Galeano, Thompson and Inman, with Bennison adding three goals.
Huddersfield matched that scoring effort with tries from Jagger, Lolohea, Wrench and Woolford. Flanagan proved decisive with four successful kicks, giving the Giants the extra edge in a match that stayed tight throughout.
