Dane Eisenmenger has been selected as The News-Gazette’s 2025-26 area high school Male Athlete of the Year, a recognition that highlights his all-around impact at Unity. Eisenmenger’s biggest role came on the football field, where he guided Unity as the Rockets’ quarterback. Unity finished 12-2 and reached the Class 3A state title game before ending the season as runner-up, making his senior-year football campaign a major part of the award.
The honor also reflects what he brought to Unity beyond football. The News-Gazette’s description points to his work on the basketball court as well, underscoring that his value was not limited to one season or one sport.
