Ukraine’s P1-SUN interceptor is gaining notice after reports that the system has already brought down more than 5,000 Russian drones. The drone was developed to counter aerial threats, and its combat record is now being highlighted as Ukraine faces a changing attack pattern.
SkyFall has now presented a faster version called the P1-SUN Jetkiller. The updated interceptor is designed to deal with jet-powered Shahed drones, which are becoming a more common challenge. According to the available details, the Jetkiller can reach 370 km/h, giving it a better chance of catching faster incoming targets.
The original P1-SUN has reportedly destroyed more than 5,500 Russian drones, underscoring why the platform is getting attention despite its modest-sounding name. That performance suggests Ukraine is leaning on interceptor drones not only as a defensive tool, but also as a way to adapt quickly as Russian drone tactics evolve.
SkyFall is also said to be preparing serial production, a sign that the company expects continued demand for the system. As attacks increasingly include faster Shahed variants, the move toward upgraded interceptors such as the P1-SUN Jetkiller reflects the growing importance of speed and scalability in drone defense.
