O'Shaughnessy Ventures LLC has awarded an O'Shaughnessy Fellowship to artist Kendric Tonn for "Scenes from Japan," a watercolor project focused on parts of the country that many travelers do not typically encounter.
The announced work is described as a painted travelogue, using watercolor to document locations beyond Japan's best-known visitor destinations. The concept points to a more observational approach, centered on places that are often overlooked in mainstream travel coverage.
The fellowship also highlights OSV's broader identity as a firm that supports creators. Based in Greenwich, Connecticut, the company said the award aligns with its mission of empowering creative work across different fields.
