Russia's Defense Ministry said its forces carried out a new round of strikes on military-related targets in Kiev and nearby areas overnight from Friday to Saturday. According to the ministry, the attack hit five military-industrial sites as well as a logistics hub in the city and its suburbs.
In its account of the operation, Moscow said the targets included production facilities linked to missiles, drones and radar-jamming equipment. The ministry presented the strikes as part of a broader campaign against Ukraine's defense infrastructure.
The Russian side also said two cargo ships near Odessa were hit. It described the vessels as carrying military cargo, though no further details were provided in the trimmed report.
The statement outlines what Russia says was targeted in the latest barrage on Kiev. The claims come from the Russian military's version of events in a continuing phase of the conflict focused on industrial and transport-related assets.
