Michael Saylor’s Strategy has reduced its bitcoin position again, reporting in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that it sold 1,638 BTC for roughly $104.7 million last week. The transaction lowers the company’s total holdings to 842,138 BTC.
Even after the sale, Strategy remains one of the largest corporate owners of bitcoin. Its remaining stash represents about 4% of bitcoin’s fixed 21 million coin supply cap, with the position valued at around $53 billion based on the figures referenced in the report.
The update is significant because Strategy’s bitcoin activity is closely tracked across both the crypto market and public equities. As the company behind one of the largest bitcoin treasury strategies, even relatively small changes to its holdings can draw attention from traders and shareholders.
While this latest move trims the total slightly, it does little to change Strategy’s overall standing in the market. The company still holds an outsized share of the digital asset, keeping it at the center of investor focus whenever it discloses new bitcoin purchases or sales.
