According to the available details, the arrested man has been identified as Mohammad Irfan Mohammed Husain Ansari. Police were looking for him in connection with Shaikh’s murder, and the arrest was made less than a day after the crime came to light.
Officials said the victim and the accused were fellow rag pickers. The case appears to have moved rapidly after investigators identified the suspect and followed leads that took them to Bhiwandi, where he was taken into custody.
