India’s exports from special economic zones posted strong growth in 2025-26, according to information shared in Parliament. The government said outbound shipments from SEZs increased 11.8% year on year to Rs 16,36,192 crore, or about USD 185.28 billion.

The figures point to another solid year for India’s SEZ network, which remains an important channel for export activity. The latest update highlights the scale of trade flowing through these zones as the country tracks overall export performance.

The pharmaceutical sector was also identified as a major area of strength. The government said pharma exports have nearly doubled since 2014-15, underlining sustained expansion in one of India’s key export industries.

Among states, Gujarat emerged as the top performer in SEZ export achievements. The parliamentary update placed the spotlight on both state-level leadership and sector-specific gains as India’s SEZ exports moved past the USD 185 billion mark in 2025-26.
