Reform UK is preparing proposals aimed at ending illegal working in Britain, including prison sentences for company bosses who employ people without the right to work. The party says employers using illegal migrant labour should face some of the world’s toughest penalties.
The plans have been described as a new “Deliveroo Law”, linking the proposed measures to the party’s wider approach to businesses and employment. The pledge would place greater responsibility on employers, with senior figures potentially facing criminal punishment rather than only financial penalties.
Reform UK also plans to establish a “Turkish Barbers tip line” for members of the public to report high street businesses they consider suspicious. The proposal is presented as part of a broader effort to identify illegal working and increase enforcement across Britain.
