Ukraine says deliveries of air defence missiles from its allies have dropped sharply in 2026, reaching only about one-third of last year’s level. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy cited the decline as Russian attacks continue to intensify.
The reduced supply comes as Russia increases missile launches against Kyiv and ports in southern Ukraine. The attacks have included both ballistic and cruise missiles, placing additional pressure on Ukraine’s defensive systems.
Ukrainian air defences failed to intercept some of the missiles in recent strikes, according to the report. The shortfall in interceptor deliveries could make it harder for Ukraine to respond as the pace and scale of Russian attacks rise.
Zelenskyy’s statement highlights the growing gap between Ukraine’s air defence needs and the support supplied by its allies during 2026.
