Thousands of devotees headed to Mysuru’s Chamundeshwari Temple on Chamundi Hills for the second Friday of Ashadha, turning the shrine into a major focal point for worship. The heavy turnout reflected the importance of the day in the temple calendar and led to extensive arrangements for visitors.
Special pujas were held at the temple, and the deity was adorned in the Mahalakshmi form, a key attraction for worshippers arriving for darshan. The religious observances drew large crowds through the day as devotees gathered on the hill to take part in the Friday rituals.
With footfall rising sharply, authorities put security measures in place around the temple and surrounding routes. Traffic restrictions were also enforced to manage vehicle movement and reduce congestion on the approach to Chamundi Hills.
Shuttle services were arranged to help devotees reach the temple more smoothly amid the rush. The combination of special worship, ceremonial decoration and crowd-control measures marked another busy Ashadha Friday at one of Mysuru’s most visited religious sites.
