At the same time, Romania said it shot down a drone in its airspace for the second time in two days. The incident added to concerns about the spillover risk from Russia's war in neighboring Ukraine, especially for countries that share borders with areas frequently targeted by drones and missiles.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also warned that Russia was preparing missiles for what could be a larger attack. His warning suggested that Ukrainian authorities were bracing for another wave of strikes as Russia maintains its campaign of long-range aerial assaults.
