GAIL (India) and Khanij Bidesh India Ltd. (KABIL) have signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen cooperation in critical and strategic minerals. The agreement is aimed at supporting India’s long-term resource security at a time when access to key raw materials is becoming increasingly important.

The partnership brings together GAIL, a major state-run energy company, and KABIL, the entity focused on overseas mineral asset opportunities for India. Their collaboration signals a broader push to build stronger supply arrangements in minerals that are essential for industrial growth and strategic sectors.

Critical and strategic minerals have gained prominence because they are used across a wide range of industries and are central to future energy and manufacturing needs. By working together under this MoU, the two companies are expected to explore areas of mutual interest that can help improve India’s access to these resources.

The move reflects a growing national focus on securing reliable mineral supplies through coordinated efforts by public sector entities. With this agreement, GAIL and KABIL are positioning their partnership around long-term resource planning and supply chain resilience for India.
