UK retailers are seeing signs of stock disruption as the Middle East crisis affects product availability on shelves. According to the figures in the report, 54% of UK consumers said they have experienced poorer on-shelf availability in stores since the conflict began in February.
The issue appears to be noticeable in fashion shopping as well. Among people shopping for fashion in physical stores, 29% said they had seen shelf gaps, while 23% reported finding items out of stock.
The findings point to a wider retail challenge for stores trying to keep products consistently available for shoppers. Even without full details on which categories are most affected, the data suggests that customers are encountering more visible gaps and missing items during routine trips.
For UK consumers, that can mean less choice and more difficulty finding the products they want in store. For retailers, the numbers highlight how international disruption can quickly show up on shop floors through weaker stock availability.
