Ekart, the supply chain arm of Flipkart Group, has opened its pan-India logistics network to outside businesses in a move that broadens its role beyond the company’s own ecosystem. The rollout is aimed at a wide range of enterprises, including micro, small and medium businesses that need access to delivery and warehousing support across India.
The expansion is being driven through a new franchise model along with dedicated warehousing capabilities. Ekart said more than 300 franchise outlets are already operational, giving it a growing physical network to support business clients in multiple markets.
The company plans to scale that footprint significantly, with a target of 1,000 franchise outlets by 2026. That timeline suggests Ekart is positioning itself as a larger logistics platform for third-party businesses seeking broader reach and operational support.
For India’s business sector, especially smaller firms, the development could improve access to organized logistics infrastructure without requiring large in-house investments. For Flipkart’s logistics arm, it marks a notable step in turning its nationwide supply chain network into a service that can be used by external companies as well.
