India’s tobacco and tobacco products exports have climbed sharply over the past decade, with export value rising 166.51% to ₹17,192.04 crore, according to information shared by the government in Parliament.

The government also said export quantity increased by about 53.10% during the same ten-year period. That means export earnings grew much faster than shipment volumes, making value growth the standout feature of the decade-long trend.

The figures highlight steady expansion in overseas trade for tobacco and related products from India. The parliamentary update presents the broader picture of how the sector has performed over time rather than focusing on a single year.

Overall, the latest numbers show a strong rise in India’s tobacco export business, especially in value terms. Based on the data presented to lawmakers, the sector has recorded substantial long-term growth in both quantity and earnings.
