Mastercard and the National Bank of Egypt have introduced a USD Corporate Debit Card in Egypt, adding a new payment option for companies that need to transact internationally. The launch is aimed at Egyptian businesses across different sizes, including large corporates and small and medium-sized enterprises.

According to the announcement, the new card is designed to support cross-border payments. A US dollar-denominated corporate debit product can help businesses handle international payment needs more directly, especially when dealing with overseas suppliers, services or business expenses.

The rollout highlights a broader focus on improving payment tools for the business sector in Egypt. By targeting both major companies and SMEs, Mastercard and NBE are positioning the product as a practical option for firms looking for smoother international payment capabilities.

For Egypt’s corporate banking and payments market, the launch signals another step toward expanding digital and card-based solutions for business use. It also underlines the role of banks and global payment networks in developing products tailored to international trade and cross-border commercial activity.
