A 36-year-old man identified as Arun has been arrested in the Thiruvananthapuram rural area in a drug case linked to Operation Toofan, also referred to in some reports as Operation Thoofan. Authorities said the action led to the seizure of 220 grams of ganja and 0.03 grams of MDMA.

According to the available details, the substances were recovered through a courier channel. The case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, or NDPS, Act, which is used in India for offences involving banned drugs and controlled substances.

The arrest highlights continued enforcement efforts targeting narcotics distribution networks in Kerala, including cases involving parcel and courier routes. While the seized quantity of MDMA was very small, the inclusion of both ganja and a synthetic party drug has made the case notable under the ongoing operation.

Officials have not released broader case details in the trimmed report, but the arrest adds to the list of drug enforcement actions being carried out under the operation in the Thiruvananthapuram region.
