Chola reported a strong start to FY27, raising ₹7,917 crore through non-convertible debentures and subordinated debt during the first quarter. The fund raise came alongside solid growth in earnings and lending activity, highlighting a busy quarter for the company.
For Q1 FY27, Chola posted profit after tax of ₹1,654 crore, up 46% from the year-ago period. Disbursements also moved higher, rising 22% to ₹29,612 crore, indicating continued momentum in its lending business.
The company’s total assets under management stood at ₹2,54,392 crore at the end of the quarter. That figure points to continued expansion in the size of its loan book as it entered the new financial year.
Chola also crossed a notable milestone in gold loans, with AUM in that segment moving above ₹2,000 crore. The quarter’s numbers suggest broad-based growth across funding, profitability and portfolio size in Q1 FY27.
