Saudi Aramco has shut down its 400,000-barrel-per-day Jazan refinery after a Houthi strike reportedly damaged part of the Saudi facility. The shutdown took place on July 27, according to a market note cited by Reuters.
The reported damage involved the refinery’s Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle complex as well as part of the storage infrastructure. Based on the available account, the strike was significant enough to force a halt in operations at one of the kingdom’s major refining sites.
