Ebanx and Pagaleve have partnered to introduce a new buy now, pay later option in Brazil built around Pix, the country’s instant payment system. The offering is designed to let consumers divide purchases into scheduled payments while still using a familiar local payment method.
Called Pix 4x, the solution allows shoppers to split the total into four biweekly installments. The first payment is made at the time of purchase, creating a structure that blends immediate checkout confirmation with a short installment plan.
The partnership links the growing use of Pix in Brazil with demand for more flexible ways to pay. By combining instant payments with installments, Ebanx and Pagaleve are positioning the product as an alternative for consumers who want payment flexibility without moving away from Pix.
The launch highlights how financial technology companies in Brazil continue to build new services on top of the country’s real-time payments infrastructure. In this case, the focus is on making installment payments available through a system that is already widely used for everyday transactions.
