Emirates has added Crypto.com Pay as a booking option for eligible UAE residents, giving some customers a new way to pay for flights with cryptocurrency. The feature is available through the Dubai-based airline’s website and mobile app.

According to the announcement, travelers who qualify can fund their bookings with crypto while the transaction is settled in UAE dirhams. That means the payment process uses Crypto.com Pay on the customer side, while the airline receives the amount in local currency.

The move puts crypto payments directly into Emirates’ digital booking flow rather than limiting them to a separate pilot or offline process. For UAE residents who already hold digital assets, it creates another checkout option when buying tickets on Emirates channels.

Emirates is one of the best-known carriers in the region, so the addition of Crypto.com Pay is likely to draw attention from both airline customers and the wider digital payments market. The rollout is specifically aimed at eligible residents in the United Arab Emirates, based on the details released so far.
