Galgotias University’s Department of Pharmacy and the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi, have jointly organised a faculty development workshop in Greater Noida focused on NEP 2020-aligned pharmacy education. The programme highlighted the link between regulatory requirements, curriculum design and faculty preparedness in pharmacy teaching.
According to the announcement, the workshop centered on PCI regulations and a competency-based curriculum framework. That places the emphasis on how pharmacy education can move beyond theory alone and align teaching practices with the broader goals of India’s National Education Policy 2020.
The collaboration is notable because PCI is India’s statutory pharmacy regulator, giving the event added relevance for academic institutions that must keep pace with evolving standards. By bringing the regulator and a university platform together, the workshop aimed to help faculty understand current expectations in pharmacy education and training.
