India’s wealth boom is expanding in size and changing in profile, according to the 360 ONE 2026 wealth creators list. The latest ranking says 3,040 people now make the rich list, pointing to a broader rise in the number of wealthy Indians.
The report also suggests that the country’s wealth creators are getting younger. A lower median age indicates that a new generation of entrepreneurs is moving up faster and playing a bigger role in shaping India’s wealth landscape.
At the same time, the gains are not being spread evenly. The list highlights a stronger concentration of wealth among leading families, individuals and business groups, reinforcing the idea that India’s richest are pulling further ahead even as the total pool of wealthy people grows.
Taken together, the findings show two parallel trends in India’s economy: a larger group of high-net-worth individuals and a sharper clustering of wealth at the top. That combination signals both the rise of new-age wealth creators and the continued dominance of established business dynasties.
