L'Oreal said its India business picked up pace in the first half of 2026, pointing to strong momentum in two key categories: haircare and skincare. The update suggests the French beauty company is seeing improving demand in one of its important growth markets.

According to the company, haircare and skincare were the main drivers of the stronger performance across the region. E-commerce also remained an important growth channel, underlining the continued role of online platforms in expanding beauty product reach in India.

L'Oreal also signaled its next expansion move in the country through a planned majority stake acquisition in Innovist. The proposed deal appears aimed at widening the company's presence and strengthening its access to fast-growing consumer segments.

The combination of category strength, digital sales support and acquisition-led expansion points to a broader push by L'Oreal in India. With beauty demand holding up in core segments, the market remains a key part of the company's regional growth strategy.
