ImmunityBio said the United Arab Emirates has granted marketing authorization for ANKTIVA in two major cancer settings: BCG-unresponsive non-muscle invasive bladder cancer and metastatic non-small cell lung cancer. The company said the latest decision extends ANKTIVA’s regulatory presence to 34 countries.
In bladder cancer, the authorization covers BCG-unresponsive disease across carcinoma in situ (CIS) and papillary disease. According to the company’s announcement, this is the first approval anywhere in the world to cover the full range of BCG-unresponsive non-muscle invasive bladder cancer.
The UAE decision broadens access in a market outside the US and adds momentum to ImmunityBio’s international rollout for ANKTIVA. The combination of bladder cancer and metastatic lung cancer indications makes the authorization notable for the breadth of its use in oncology.
