The High Court of Justice in England and Wales has ruled that Raj Kundra must pay $4.94 million to a company linked to British entrepreneur Manoj Badale. The case centers on a financial dispute connected to Kundra’s past association with the Rajasthan Royals IPL franchise.

According to the case details available, the disagreement involved an 11.7% stake held by Kundra’s Kuki Investments Ltd in Mauritius-based EM Sporting Holdings. That company was described as the EMV subsidiary that controlled the IPL team, making the matter significant both financially and in terms of franchise ownership structure.

The court’s order, issued on Thursday, also granted a permanent anti-suit injunction. That means the English court moved to block related legal action from being pursued in another forum, reinforcing its position over the dispute.

The ruling is the latest development in a long-running cross-border legal battle tied to shareholding and control issues around the Rajasthan Royals. With the payment order and injunction now in place, the decision marks a notable outcome in a case involving cricket, investment holdings and international litigation.
