Bajaj Finance reported a 28% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit for the June quarter, helped by healthy loan demand and steady consumer borrowing. The company posted net profit of ₹6,081 crore, underlining continued momentum in its lending business.
The lender said assets under management increased 24% from a year earlier to ₹5.47 lakh crore at the end of June. That expansion in its loan book was supported by strong business activity, while net interest income rose 23% during the quarter.
Bajaj Finance also added 5.1 million new customers in the quarter, showing sustained traction in customer acquisition. The numbers suggest demand remained firm across its consumer-focused lending segments even as the market stays competitive.
Overall, the June-quarter update points to broad-based growth in profit, lending and customer additions for India’s biggest non-bank lender by market value. The results reflect resilient retail credit demand and continued balance sheet expansion.
