Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published its foreign currency exchange rates for Friday, setting the benchmark values used across the country for major international currencies. The latest update highlights the central bank’s daily reference rates for the domestic market.
According to the NRB notice, the buying rate for one US dollar has been fixed at Rs 152.80, while the selling rate has been set at Rs 153.40. The central bank also updated the rates for other foreign currencies, including the euro, as part of its regular schedule.
These daily exchange rates are closely watched by banks, businesses, remittance recipients, travelers and importers in Nepal. Changes in the dollar and other major currencies can affect payments, overseas transactions and the local cost of goods and services linked to foreign trade.
The NRB’s published rates serve as an important reference point for currency conversion and financial planning, although actual rates offered by commercial banks and money changers may vary slightly. Friday’s update continues the central bank’s routine role in guiding Nepal’s foreign exchange market.
