Morgan Stanley Investment Management has selected Figment as the staking provider for its newly issued Ethereum and Solana exchange-traded funds. The announcement links Figment to the staking operations behind the new crypto products, which are associated with the ticker symbols MSSE and MSOL on NYSE Arca.

The decision is notable because staking is central to how proof-of-stake blockchains such as Ethereum and Solana operate. For investment products tied to those networks, a staking provider handles the underlying on-chain process that can generate rewards while supporting network validation.

By naming Figment for this role, Morgan Stanley Investment Management appears to be pairing its ETF offering with a specialist in staking infrastructure. That points to a broader effort by large financial firms to build more complete crypto investment products rather than offering only simple price exposure.

Although the trimmed release does not provide the full structure of the funds, the move signals continued institutional interest in regulated Ethereum and Solana vehicles. It also shows how staking-focused service providers are becoming an important part of the infrastructure supporting mainstream crypto ETFs.
