The south-side redevelopment of Ranchi railway station has fallen behind schedule once again, with the project failing to meet its July completion target. The delay extends the timeline for new passenger-focused facilities that were expected as part of the major station upgrade.
According to the available details, the redevelopment is valued at Rs 447 crore and is aimed at modernising the station’s south-side infrastructure. However, the latest setback means commuters and visitors will have to wait longer for the planned improvements.
A key concern is that no fresh completion date has been announced yet. That leaves uncertainty around when the pending work will be finished and when the upgraded station amenities will become operational.
