Madhya Pradesh’s traditional products, including sarees, spices and handicrafts, are set to gain wider access to overseas buyers through a new ecommerce-focused partnership. Amazon India and the Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening export opportunities for businesses in the state.

The initiative is expected to support micro, small and medium enterprises in Madhya Pradesh by connecting them with international marketplaces through Amazon Global Selling. The focus is on helping local sellers move beyond domestic demand and reach customers in global markets using online commerce channels.

A key part of the partnership will involve training and guidance for MSMEs. According to the announcement, businesses will receive support on areas such as selling on global marketplaces, managing logistics and understanding compliance requirements that come with cross-border ecommerce.

The move highlights growing efforts to use digital platforms to expand export potential for regional industries. For producers of Madhya Pradesh’s well-known textile, spice and craft segments, the agreement could create a more structured route to international ecommerce and broader market visibility.
