The first wave of the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass has launched, opening up Part 1: Bubbly Basin. According to the announcement, this update brings players to a submerged town with a lighter, aquatic theme and a new area centered on restoration.
A key gameplay addition in this release is Dive, a newly added move that Ditto can use to go beneath the water’s surface. That mechanic appears to be central to exploring Bubbly Basin, which is described as an underwater community that can be brought back to life.
The update also puts a strong focus on Water-type Pokémon. Players can team up with Popplio along with many other Water-type partners as they work through the new content and help rebuild the town.
With Bubbly Basin available now, Part 1 of the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass expands the game with a fresh setting, new exploration options, and a rebuilding objective tied to its underwater world.
