4D Molecular Therapeutics said it has posted positive two-year results from the Phase 2b PRISM clinical trial of 4D-150 in a broad population of patients with wet age-related macular degeneration, or wet AMD. The company described the update as further evidence for the durability of its investigational treatment in a late-stage eye disease setting.
According to the announcement, patients who received a single intravitreal dose of 4D-150 maintained visual acuity and anatomic control through two years. 4DMT also said the treatment showed a consistent and durable reduction in treatment burden over that period, a key issue for wet AMD patients who often require repeated eye injections.
The data are notable because wet AMD therapies are closely watched for how long they can preserve vision while reducing the need for frequent follow-up treatment. By highlighting two-year outcomes in a broad patient population, 4DMT is positioning 4D-150 as a potential option aimed at longer-lasting disease control.
