Samsung says its 2026 television lineup will be the first group of consumer TVs to support HDR10+ ADVANCED, a new version of the company’s high-dynamic-range format. The launch positions Samsung at the forefront of the technology’s rollout in consumer displays.
HDR10+ ADVANCED adds more detailed picture controls through brightness metadata, local tone mapping and scene-based motion control. These features are designed to help compatible TVs adjust image presentation more precisely across different content and scenes.
Prime Video is also set to become the first streaming service to provide content in HDR10+ ADVANCED. The combination of compatible Samsung TVs and streaming support will give viewers an initial ecosystem for the format when the 2026 models arrive.
