Ubisoft's Ghost Recon Wildlands is set to receive a free native PS5 upgrade on 6th August, giving the 2017 shooter improved visual and performance options on Sony's current console. Based on the available details, existing players will be able to access the update at no extra cost.
The upgrade is reported to add 4K resolution and 60fps support on PS5. That would mark a noticeable boost for Wildlands, which first launched during the PS4 generation and remains one of Ubisoft's better-known open-world tactical shooters.
News of the update appears to have surfaced through a leaked PlayStation Store listing. While the full store details are not available here, the listing points to the rollout beginning tomorrow, 6th August.
There is also an indication that everyone will be able to try Ghost Recon Wildlands until 10th August. Taken together, the update and limited-time access window could give new players a chance to see how the game performs on PS5 while longtime owners receive the upgrade for free.
