LIV Golf has secured a lead investor as it reshapes its financial structure following the planned replacement of its Saudi Arabia deal. The agreement was approved by the league’s board, according to CEO Scott O’Neil.

The new arrangement is intended to support LIV Golf’s continued operation while moving the competition toward a player-driven model. Under the plan, players would become majority equity holders in the league.

O’Neil said a signed agreement is in place with the unnamed investor. The development marks a significant shift in LIV Golf’s ownership direction as the league seeks to build its future around its players.
