Moove has raised $250 million as it pushes deeper into the robotaxi market, positioning itself as a fleet management partner for autonomous vehicles. The company is using the new funding to expand this side of its business and strengthen its role in the growing robotaxi industry.
A key part of that strategy involves Waymo. Moove already has plans tied to managing Waymo robotaxis, and its longer-term goal is even bigger: the company wants to eventually own these vehicles rather than only operate them on behalf of others.
The move marks a notable shift for Moove, which started out focused on vehicle financing before expanding into ride-hailing and delivery services in Africa. That progression now appears to be leading the company toward a broader model built around autonomous vehicle operations and asset ownership.
With co-founder and co-CEO Ladi Delano helping steer that transition, Moove is increasingly framing itself as infrastructure for the robotaxi sector. The latest capital raise suggests investors see potential in a business designed to support, manage and one day hold a larger stake in autonomous fleets.
