Nomura’s digital-assets subsidiary, Laser Digital, is backing ZIGChain’s private credit initiative with a high single-digit million-dollar investment. The partnership links one of Japan’s major financial institutions with a blockchain project focused on bringing private credit products onchain.
Laser Digital and ZIGChain are structuring tokenized private credit products designed to attract institutional participation. The initiative reflects growing interest in using blockchain infrastructure to represent and manage financial assets traditionally handled through private markets.
The partners are targeting at least $100 million in total value locked as the project develops. If achieved, that scale could support broader institutional adoption of tokenized credit and add momentum to the wider digital-asset financial ecosystem.
