Florida State’s first preseason scrimmage gave the Seminoles’ coaching staff an early look at how the team is progressing ahead of the season. The session also exposed areas on both sides of the ball that still need attention.

Offensive coordinator Tim Harris Jr. and defensive coordinator Tony White discussed the main lessons from the scrimmage. While each unit had details to clean up, both coordinators came away with encouraging signs from the weekend.

The scrimmage provided Florida State with an important evaluation opportunity as preparations continue. The Seminoles will use the remaining preseason work to address those corrections and build on the positives identified by their coordinators.
