JaMarcus Shephard is beginning his tenure at Oregon State by establishing the foundations he believes can support long-term success. The Beavers’ football coach is using his first week of fall camp to shape the direction of the program.

Oregon State opened fall camp Aug. 5 in Corvallis, giving Shephard an early opportunity to set expectations and begin developing his team. His approach centers on putting down roots in the program as well as in his own life and career.

The opening week represents an important starting point for Shephard and Oregon State football. As camp continues, the coach is working to build the habits, identity and foundation that will guide the Beavers moving forward.
