The result came as part of Fantasia’s annual audience awards, which highlight the movies that resonated most strongly with festivalgoers. I Love Paris stood out in the international feature competition with its mockumentary approach to vampire storytelling.

Masanao Kawajiri’s Cherry and Virgin was also recognized in the audience awards, adding another notable title to this year’s festival results. The honors reflect the range of films that attracted audience support during the Fantasia program.
