According to the story, the pressure became clear during a mid-May gathering involving dozens of Microsoft engineers and managers. Some joined online while others met at the company’s headquarters in Redmond, Washington, underscoring how seriously the company is treating the growing flow of issues surfaced by AI-assisted testing.

The development highlights a broader shift in software security and quality control. As AI models improve at finding weaknesses in code, they can generate a larger pipeline of bugs for human teams to review, prioritize and fix.
