The Rajasthan government has approved ₹139.7 crore to upgrade Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS) in Jaipur into RIMS. The move marks a major step in strengthening advanced medical infrastructure in the state.
According to the approved plan, the first phase will focus on adding super-speciality equipment and carrying out retrofitting work at the hospital. The investment is aimed at improving the institution’s capacity to support more specialized treatment and modern healthcare services.
The RUHS Jaipur upgrade is expected to enhance facilities for both patients and medical professionals by bringing in better technology and improving existing hospital spaces. Turning the institution into RIMS signals a broader push to build stronger tertiary and super-speciality care within Rajasthan.
