Samsung Biologics has announced plans to launch an all-cash public tender offer to acquire 100% of PolyPeptide's fully diluted share capital, excluding treasury shares. The proposed offer is priced at CHF 44.31 per share, giving the transaction an equity value of about CHF 1.46 billion.

The company said the move is designed to accelerate its multi-modality strategy. By pursuing PolyPeptide, Samsung Biologics is positioning itself to expand its capabilities while adding scale through a broader international operating footprint.

A key part of the deal rationale is geographic expansion. Samsung Biologics said the transaction would strengthen its global network across the United States, Europe, and India, extending its reach in major pharmaceutical and biotech markets.

The announcement signals a significant strategic step for Samsung Biologics as it looks to grow through acquisition rather than organic investment alone. If completed, the deal would mark a major addition to its portfolio and support its push to build a larger presence across multiple modalities and regions.
