Larsen & Toubro said its Metals & Minerals business has secured multiple mega orders from major domestic companies in the public and private sectors. The contracts come from the metals and mining space, adding to the engineering group's order momentum in industrial projects.
According to the company, the work will cover a broad project package that includes design and engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning. The scope also features a downhill conveyor system, a screening plant, stockpile facilities, yard equipment, RWLS and related auxiliary systems.
The latest wins underline L&T’s role in executing large and complex materials handling and plant infrastructure assignments for the metals and minerals industry. Such projects typically require integrated delivery across engineering, equipment sourcing and on-site execution, areas where the company has a long presence.
The orders also point to continuing project activity from both government-linked and private sector clients in India’s metals and mining segment. For L&T, the new contracts strengthen its business pipeline in a sector tied to industrial capacity expansion and resource logistics.
