Larsen & Toubro said its Metals & Minerals business has won multiple mega orders from major domestic companies in the public and private sectors. The announcement points to continued investment activity in India’s metals and mining space, with L&T positioned as a key engineering and project execution partner.
Among the orders is a contract related to an 18-MTPA iron ore handling plant in Chhattisgarh. The company also indicated that another project is connected to the expansion of a steel plant, highlighting demand for large-scale industrial infrastructure across the sector.
The new wins add to L&T’s order pipeline in a business that serves core industries such as mining, ore processing and steel. Projects of this nature typically involve complex material handling systems and supporting infrastructure, areas where engineering scale and execution capability are critical.
The order announcement underscores how both public sector and private sector companies are continuing to invest in capacity, logistics and plant expansion. For L&T, the latest contracts strengthen its presence in metals and minerals and reinforce its role in India’s broader industrial build-out.
