New York-based label Colbo is broadening its business with several new moves, including its first step into womenswear, a retail expansion in Japan and a collaboration with Sperry. The brand, which built its audience through a community-centered mix of fashion, coffee and cultural programming, is now pushing into new categories and markets.

The womenswear launch was introduced during Paris men’s week, where Colbo presented its first capsule for women. The debut signals a notable shift for a brand previously known as a menswear name, suggesting it is looking to grow its customer base while keeping its identity tied to lifestyle and community.

At the same time, Colbo has opened its first shop-in-shop in Japan, adding an international retail foothold to its expansion plans. The move points to stronger ambitions outside the U.S. as the brand looks to translate its New York following into overseas demand.

Colbo is also adding a collaboration with Sperry to the mix, further extending its reach through partnership. Taken together, the womenswear debut, Japan store presence and branded collaboration show a company moving beyond its original format and into a wider fashion and lifestyle business.
