Cube Highways Trust has raised ₹1,687.5 crore from anchor investors ahead of its planned ₹5,000-crore Infrastructure Investment Trust, or InvIT, public issue. The anchor round comes just before the offer opens for public subscription on July 22.

The fundraising is an important early step for the InvIT launch, as anchor participation is often seen as a sign of institutional interest before the broader market gets access to the issue. In this case, Cube Highways Trust has secured a sizeable amount ahead of opening day, giving momentum to the upcoming public offer.

InvITs are investment vehicles that allow investors to participate in income-generating infrastructure assets. Cube Highways Trust’s market debut is therefore being closely watched by investors tracking infrastructure-linked products as well as large primary market offerings.

With ₹1,687.5 crore already mobilised from anchor investors, attention now shifts to the public subscription phase. The ₹5,000-crore issue is set to test investor appetite for infrastructure investment platforms when it opens on July 22.
